Adding a printer on a windows network to a macbook

    Ok, So i just got a Canon MX310 printer and it is set up on a wireless windows network through a computer running windows XP. I am running Leopard on my Macbook and I can't find the printer. I went to canons website and downloaded the right driver for mac, but still nothing. Any help appreciated. Thanks

    You shared the printer on the Windows machine? Do you see the windows machine at all on the network?

    This might have changed, but in the old days you could add drivers to a shared Windows printer for other clients, I don't know if you need to do that or not. I kind of doubt it.

    Is the Windows machine in a Workgroup called Workgroup? Having the Windows machine and the Mac in the same workgroup would probably help.
