Hi - I'd like to add a prompt to appear when I shut down, to ask whether I would like to mute sound, and to do so on clicking Yes. Any ideas how I can do this?

    Thanks!

I suppose you could develop an AppleScript application that opens at startup and displays the prompt when quit (ie. when the computer tries to shut down). It's a bit of a messy workaround, but it might work. That's the only way I can think to do it.
