I am still new to T-Mobile and got an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE. I was going to add it to my account and it was mentioning the DIGITS service at $15 PLUS the $10 a month for the Apple Watch? Do I need DIGITS for my Apple Watch to work over LTE? It was very confusing. I just cancelled out of the Cellular setup for now.

Also will adding the watch affect our current plan. We are on the 2 Lines for $100 plan plus we both have OnePlus for $20 more.

Thanks

Yes, it will just add $10 per month to your current plan.

Yes you need Digits in order for your Apple Watch to mirror your cellular number, that is what makes the magic happen.

Yep, for T-Mobile, adding the Apple Watch just amounts to getting their DIGITS service and using the watch with it. If you participated in the DIGITS beta and have the free promo, you can use the AW3 with that free of charge.

When I was going through the activation, it mentioned $15 and then $10 separately. It was very confusing. I do not have the Digits service already.

But bottom line, it will only be $10 a month? I was going to use the 3 month free trial for now and see how I like the LTE on my watch.

Even before you are assessed the $10.00, you cancel at anytime to avoid the charges.

The 3 month free trial is just that and it will automatically raise to $10 or $15 unless you call 611 to cancel. It is only $10 per month if you have Autopay. Without Autopay it raises to $15 per month.

I went to a T-Mobile store today to activate my watch and get my 3 months free but the clerk said the 3 month free trial is only if you bought the watch from T-Mobile. Is this true or did clerk make a mistake? Thanks

I believe it's a mistake. Just picked up one of our watches from Apple Store (ordered online), and the T-Mobile LTE activation screen also mentioned the three month free trial

Yes the rep was mistaken. It was announced at the Keynote that the carriers were offering 3 months of free service and a waived Activation fee. Each carrier is implementing is slightly differently.

AT&T is offering bill credits that will be applied in 2 to 3 bills $10 per month, $25 Activation Fee.

T-Mobile is offering 3 free months and waived activation. However, to get the $10 rate instead of $15 per month you have to enroll in Autopay.

For Verizon Wireless: $10/mo line access fee begins 4 months from date of purchase. $30 activation fee waived at checkout.

Funny I activated my LTE watch on Tuesday in Manhattan and the rep initially said no 3 months because I didn’t purchase the watch there. Luckily she had some issues activating herself and had to call HQ, they then informed her and me that the 3 months free promotion would take effect regardless of where the watch was bought

Wasn’t sure where to put this, didn’t want to make a new thread if I didn’t have to.

I setup the watch on my Tmobile account. First odd thug was when it created a digits account, it gave me a new number but the watch seems to be paired with my main iPhone number. Is getting a new number for digits normal? (I didn’t have a digits number before today.)

Everything seems to work except I cannot get my watch to receive calls. I got it to make an outgoing call with my phone disconnected but I’ve yet to get it to receive a call. Is there something I’m missing?

The new number is the phone number of the watch. Ignore it — it will never be used by you.

Make sure you have WiFi calling enabled on your phone, otherwise calls to/from the watch won’t happen when separated from your phone (yes, WiFi calling needs to be on even if Watch is on cellular).

Didn't know I can have the free promo add to the Apple Watch. Thanks for that information!
