Okay, so I've done quite a bit of research but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. (or maybe I have, and I'm just confused/a noob with iMacs)

Ive read many problems with 2011 iMacs and adding drives. Heat issues or SMART issues or spinning fan issues. None of these things are very appealing to me. I have a Intel x25m g2 and a OWC 6G SSD. I would like to add ONE of these to the stock 27" iMac while keeping the 1TB drive it came with. Taking apart the computer isn't that big of a deal, but I don't want to run into any trouble. I read you need to short something out. Can any advise with what exact parts I need (do I need SATA connectors, adapters, mounting kit, etc?) or can I just open up the computer and throw one of the SSDs with no issues?

    Thanks so much!
