Adding Artwork to iTunes TV Shows for Use On Apple TV

Hola!
I've been having problems adding artwork to ripped TV shows in iTunes. I open the Get Info window, click artwork, drag the image in, click OK and nothing happens. When I open the window again, it's blank. I've tried this with both 500*355px jpeg and png files. Also, these videos are referenced from an external HD. Am I an idiot, or is this a real problem?

Edit: I'm using Lostify to tag these before referencing/importing. Should I just switch to Metax even though I don't like it as much?

What file extension are the files? - .mp4, .m4v, or .mov?

.mov cannot get album artwork added to the files, only poster frames.

If you use Metadata Hoot it places the .mp4/.m4v into a permanent .mov wrapper. Not sure if Lostify does the same.

Update: I found the original (untagged) files and retagged them with MetaX. Now I'm able to add/remove/edit artwork in iTunes with no problem.

So my advice is not to use Lostify 🙁 unless you have no desire for artwork.
