adding event while in safari

i thought you could add and event to ical just by hovering over the date. it should give you a drop down menu.

for example, i get an evite. go to the page and there is the date. i put the cursor over the date and it highlights. click the arrow and a drop down menu comes up, or rather down. click add event to calender. blah blah blah.

it used to work and now it doesnt. any reasons why?

As far as I know, Data Detectors only works in Mail.

It can be enabled in iChat, but it doesn't function as well. Which may be why it's not officially enabled. I have not heard it being available in Safari.

If you email the page to yourself, you can use Data Detectors in Mail.
