adding hotmail/msn acct to mac mail

I've followed all the instructions (incoming mail server pop3.live.com and outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com:email address, authentification: password, port: 995, SSL checked) and all my mail comes in but I can't send mail or repond to mail. Am I missing something?

You may need to have a paid account to be able to download your mail content on those Microsoft mail services.

I have been using the HTTPmail plugin and it has been working fine.

I have a paid msn.com account. Incoming mail is not a problem. It is outgoing new mail or replies.

That's because your hotmail account is more than like 7 years old.

My friend made his account in 2000, I made mine in 2007. His works, mine doesn't.
