I have 8GB ram in my 06 mac pro, I see that I can swap out the 4 2x sticks with 4 4x sticks and get 16GB.

Now right now I do not swap much to disk. My swap size shows as 6mb and
page outs of 246
page ins of 1,055,962

Does adding more ram do more for disk caching? and improve the disk I/O since I will cache more to ram or will it just sit there unused.

with the swap size at 6mb and the amount of PO's you have, i doubt much will happen..

if your swap was about half/the same size as your RAM, then youd be worried (like mine is)
