Adding more USB Capacity

Can you use a hub on a 21" iMac so that I can hook up more via USB?

There are only 2 USB ports and one is for the printer and the other for the APC -UPS, I need one for downloading a camera as well.

Check whether it is USB 2.0 and powered. Sounds ovious but there are still some 1.0 on eBay. Powered will allow to plug more peripherals.
