iPod touch Adding MP3's to ipod touch?????

I don't know if I'm just a moron or what.

I can add them individually by restarting itunes and plugging in the itouch, but thats about as far as I can go.

I'm trying to add playlists and it's driving me crazy trying to figure it out.

Can someone PLEASE help me.

I can import my CD's and edit them for genre and everything like that, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do it with MP3's.
