I have a new iphone6 plus my question is I already set the phone up through the cloud and really don't want to restore from my previous iPhone 6 back up that's on iTunes. Can I add the music I have in iTunes to my new phone without doing a restore from the old back up. And after I get the music on my new phone just back this one up. Thanks for any suggestions

You can plug your phone into your computer and sync it to iTunes and it will transfer across all of your music. Just make sure that you have sync all selected in the music tab.

I usually sync my music over manually because restoring from iCloud back takes a long time as all my tracks have to be downloaded to the phone. Also not all of my songs were purchased from iTunes, some came from Amazon and some from my own CDs I've ripped. As I don't have an Apple Music/iTunes Match subscription not all of my music is available in the cloud.
