I downloaded a pack of about 600 nes roms and videos tell me to connect to winscp using the ip adress of the wifi network im on. After I enter the ip adress which is 10.0.0.21 and the root and alpine username and password respectivly, it doesn't work. The port number is still on 22. When it seems like its loading it says connection timed out. Do you guys know whats wrong? I have the following programs installed that might affect this: BSD subsystem, and open ssh. And i was wondering if you can use winscp to connect to your ipod without wifi since it is not available at my house.

you do need wi fi when using winisp since you will access your ipod through the network. Your ipod needs to be connected to your network when you use winisp. Hope this helps

You connect to the ip that the Touch is using (find it in Settings), is that the one you are setting?
