I want to add a single or dual 100/1000 ethernet card to my macpro 2008 Leopard for virtualisation using VM Fusion. The Apple Dual card retails for £147 here in the UK which seems rather expensive. Do you guys know of other cards that are known to work OK with Leopard 10.5.6?

Many thanks

I wouldn't order from OWC if you're in the UK. Shipping stuff back to them if it's faulty gets expensive as they don't refund your costs.

Just out of interest - why do you need up to four Ethernet ports? Are you multi-homing your VM(s) plus OS X?

not multi-homing but I am consolidating physical machines into VMs one of which is an Astaro ASG Firewall which I want to dedicate two physical nics: LAN & WAN

I have some info from the vmware site about how to configure extra physical nics but if someone has some real experience of doing similar I would appreciate some help.

TIA
