Hello everyone,

(sorry if I bring this subject up again, but I just couldn't find any solution on the web and apple support pages were confusing to understand.)

How can I add a second Apple ID to FaceTime and iMessage?

When I try to add my second Apple ID on iOS (and OSX ML) it says:
"The email address you entered can't be used with this Apple ID... because it's already in use with another Apple ID."

But... I haven't set up or "used" my second Apple ID anywhere.

I want to be reached for Facetime and iMessage on two separate Apple IDs, 1@me.com and 2@me.com. But apparently I can't add 2@me.com to them.

(I'm using the latest softwares both on iOS and OSX and my iOS devices are iPad v3 and iPhone 4S)

Ant help and suggestions are appreciated.
THX

I don't have two .me; but I have multiple email assigned to my FaceTime on iPad and Mac. Works well.

Could you use different email addresses instead ? Or need to be .me ?

Try adding the email address manually at iforget.apple.com, then verifying it.

Apart from that, are you 100% sure that the email address isn't used in another Apple ID?

Also, there is a long disputed problem with some of the older @me.com accounts that won't let them be used for FaceTime.
