Hello,

I have an Intel Mac running Leopard 10.5.

The sound is great from the internal speakers, but I was wondering would there be any enhancement made if I added more speakers.

I was considering buying two wireless speakers and placing them behind/beside me (at arms length).

Will this give me "extra" sound when watching video on iTunes, or is there any point to doing this - will they just be "replacing" (or "draining") the internal speakers?

Hope this makes some sense.

Regards

The internal speakers won't work if external speakers are connected, but a good pair of speakers will sound better than the internal speakers any day.

If you are using external speakers, the internal speakers will be disabled. Although most external speakers will sound better and be louder than the internal iMac speakers.

Thanks to both of you. Question answered and case closed in record time.

I was only going to get external speakers to enhance the internal ones.

You've helped me save a bit of money.
