Adding transitions AVCHD verses tape- STRANGE.

So I now have the Canon HF 10. I have found that in order to add a transition between clips, I have to add a cut/splice to the end of the clip- or it won't accept the transition; unlike tape-based video. Can anyone explain? Thanks.

Have you upgraded to 4.0.1

It has better support for AVCHD
