my university email is linked with my gmail account. i am having difficulties adding the university account onto my iphone. i already have the other gmail account synced. i have the university account so that mails are forwarded but it doesnt always work so i need to sync it with my phone as well. can someone please help? thanks.

Go to your university's IT/computing services department. They'll very likely have the answer for you (as well as server configuration).
most schools have some kind of web based or echange email. as stated, most schools have the directions on how to add the email address to a device. you may be able to find that info on the schools website itself.
