I've searched, but didn't find my answer.

Im considering adding an additional monitor to my 2010, 27" I7 2.93 iMac. I don't need a 27" Apple display, so I am looking for something in the 22-24" range. What are good choices, and would you recommend the display port to HDMI or DVI connection? Thanks in advance.
