Apple would never put four USB ports on a laptop. Especially since those specs also mention firewire.

In otherwords: this is fake

True, apple would never mount 4 USB ports + FireWire port + OD to a macbook. Even the current 17" Pro has no more then 3 USB ports.

Conclusion on both 13" and 15" rumors: Fake!

4th dimension

Who cares about specs? How thin will it be? Me needs to look cool while I upload all of my personal information to facebook and icloud at starbucks!

Let me see......

Screen Size: 13"
Rumor: 32,5 x 22,7 x 2,41 cms / 2,06 kgs
Actual: 32,5 x 22,7 x 2,41 cms / 2,04 kgs
Result: Same size, heavier?!?

Screen Size: 15"
Rumor: 34,3 x 23,5 x 1,88 cms / 2,13 kgs
Actual: 36,4 x 24,9 x 2,41 cms / 2,54 kgs
Result: Smaller, lighter!

With these dimmensions and specs 13" it´s not worth although we have to wait for the price difference.

I hope they will be better.

I personally, will be making a special trip to Starbucks so I can enjoy the June 11 keynote with a mocha and an audience :)

Ya, because they've NEVER done that before...oh wait, ya they did...1 refresh ago.

Are you referring to the late 2011 refresh? At that stage the latest CPUs weren't out yet.

Or do you mean the 13" Pro sticking with C2D while the 15/17 were upgraded to Arrendale? I think it's widely accepted that that was due to the disappointing IGP in Arrendale CPUs. Which isn't a factor here.

I'm referring to the 2010 update, yes. Not disputing whether the idea was a good one or not, just stating a fact.

nVidias drivers are top notch and still unknown performance of AMD's new 7700M Series.
I do remember good things about NVidia's drivers, but the 7770M is based off Cape Verde so it's bound to have pretty good performance though yes we don't have exact numbers.
I mentioned them in a post yesterday. The GT 640/650M are the sweet spot.
I'd rather see the 7870M. It's better than the GTX 660M and just below the GT 670M.

AMD is moving to quarterly releases from monthly ones. Hopefully their driver quality will improve.

It appears that only the HD 7970M is based on the larger Pitcairn die. The HD 7700/7800M Series is based on Cape Verde so clock speeds and GDDR5 will make the biggest difference.

Ah that so? Hopefully yes.

The 7950M is too.

I am curious behind Apple's reasoning, if it is in fact true, of adding USB3 ports. After all that money and time put into Thunderbolt, one would think that Apple would be more concerned with promoting this technology as it is far superior to USB3.

Intel has marketed thunderbolt as a COMPLIMENT to usb3. Usb is too ubiquitous to be at this point, it's also cheaper to implement than thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is a replacement for every other port besides usb. It'll probably stay this way till computers require fiber optics for transferring, which means thunderbolt is future proof and Apple invested wiseley.

It does not make sense to me that Apple would stoak interest with their Retina display in a iPad, so they could exclude it futher down the line in other relevant products?

If they can put Retina in the iPad, they should be able to in the MBP etc.
Plus all the Retina icon updates?

Yep, no way I'll be buying a 2X 1280*800 resolution display on a 15" screen. Barely enough screen real estate with a current 1440*900 MPB 15"
