Okay I soooooooo tempted to buy an iPhone tomorrow when then finally come out in the UK, but want to check a couple of things:

    1. Does it sync ALL of the fields in the address book, ie does the "notes" section of address book appear in the iPhone?

    2. Does it sync everything in ical including any notes you have made in an entry.

    thanks in advance.

Notes in iCal get synced as well. In fact I heavily use these as to-dos for any appointment.

Really? B/c I do have .mac. I know you can sync Notes with .mac, but you still can't with your iPhone?

You're .mac mailboxes in iPhone has one called Apple To Dos. It's not the perfect solution but it does sync with your mail and or calendar to dos.

I don't know where you see that? I'm looking in my .Mac account on my iPhone, and it simply has Inbox and Trash...I don't see any other folders/mailboxes?

Make a to do in your .mac mail account.
On your iPhone it is below Trash, a folder "Apple Mail To Do"
Try syncing your mail accounts and docking if you do not see it.

Don't you have to be running Leopard for that to work?

I agree, it's very primitive at this point, but better than nothing at all.
