if i recieve an email from someone in my address book it automaticaly gets updated

for instance my dad is Joe Bloggs, but I save him as "Dad"
after he emails me, the address book now says "Dad Bloggs", not what I wanted!!!

this is v.annoying, how do I stop it?

Does the Address Book entry actually change or is it just that the new e-mail address is added to the "Previous Recipients" and whenever you start typing their name that e-mail address is selected by default...?

The address book entry is modified. I think it looks for any address book entries with the same email address as the one received, then updates the entry in the address book with the name supplied by the email.

I would rather it did not change existing entries.
