T tweaks macrumors regular Original poster Jun 11, 2008 #1 I just went through my address book and deleted the contacts and now it wants to put them back on the iphone. How to i set it to overwrite?? I have looked and looked with no success please help!! I am overrun by hundreds of old contacts!! Thanks!!

The only way to do that, far as I know, is to use groups in Address Book, and only sync the groups you want to appear on the iPhone. That'll keep them on the Mac, but not move them to the iPhone.

The only way to do that, far as I know, is to use groups in Address Book, and only sync the groups you want to appear on the iPhone. That'll keep them on the Mac, but not move them to the iPhone.
