addsysuser, appletfile.props & postflight files?

In my OSX boot disc drive I have noticed these files:

addsysuser (4KB Document)

appletfile.props (4KB Document)

postflight (4KB Unix Executable File)

I wonder why they ended up in the root directory and if I can delete them?
