Dogs look up to us and cats look down on us. But pigs treat us as equals. WC

I had no idea Mr. Churchill was an admirer of pigs! I know they're supposed to be smart. There's all kinds of smart though, and I figure critters end up smart mostly in the ways they need to be to keep their species keepin' on. The ones that we domesticate or think we domesticate seem to be smart enough to know how to keep our roof over their heads... :p

Sorry to hear about your cat. Maybe one day a quaint stray may pop up at your door with a giant mouse in its mouth, in the hopes of pleasing the nice lady who gardens in the spring as he or she watched from a distance, and to be given a new, safe home.

I view pigs as edible friends. I had a lovely rack today for lunch. Cholesterol be damned!

Oh Churchill, heh, naturally...I thought it had something to do with a toilet for a moment.

I confess I first thought... WC Fields??! Then I ran it into a search engine...

Think the other cat hopes the quaint stray holds off for awhile. Tevvi's old and I want to give her an opportunity to be queen of the hill here as she once was before Grace showed up. What I know for sure is that I'm too old for a couple of little 3am drape climbers... so if and when it's time for the quaint strays to show up I think they're going to be via me walking into the shelter and asking for a couple of really old cats who get along with each other. We'll all sleep through the nights that way.
