Anyone have a similar problem.I cant adjust brightness at all in settings. Moving the slider to the left or right does nothing.Once in a while it will work.. Also screen gets hot and battery starts to drain quicker.

Kindly assist me.

Perhaps turn off the auto-brightness? If that doesn't work... Perhaps a sync, hard reset, or a restore might fix it.

If a restart, followed by a restore through iTunes doesn't fix it, you should get it replaced by Apple. The screen definitely should not get hot under normal indoor conditions.

Than for the help guys.

U know what's odd and that is the iBook app can adjust the brightness.

The screen gets really due to the fact that I think the brightness is on maximum all the time. I am going to do a hard recovery restore and update this topic

Restore, recovery and reset did not work.

What i noticed is that the brightness adjusts fine when plug into power. Also no heating occurs.

On battery mode, the iPad does not adjust the brightness and also the heating occurs.
