Adobe Acrobat 8 problem

If I open a PDF doc, it opens Acrobat 8. The document opens and is displayed, but after about 10 seconds I get a message saying that it cannot be opened unless another major CS3 app is running ( like photoshop etc. ).

It then closes. I've tried running another app, but get the same message, and it closes.

Any fixes for this?
