This is called spam! One message should be enough to convoy your hatred of Adobe.
It is up to you if you consider it as a spam! I replied according to each of them! Hope you see that! One no need to put in single paragraph all the hate! It is difficult to refer a comment in a single paragraph! If you reply to each comment the user can be notified and they can understand!

honestly Adobe product is great and would be my tool of choice, but I don't like monopolies and hence buying the competitor should be everyone who can do without Adobe choice.

Yes i hope other tools will be tool of choice in future, if people support it! Particularly those professionals need to support other tools!

Been beta testing this for a month or so. It's very nice, and being able to use pencil means I frequently start projects on the iPad before moving them to the mac for final touches.

Macrumors, I'm a fan of your web site for very long time and Apple fan too and so long not participated in comments, but now participating! I feel we have to give freedom to express comments as the user feels! People already hate Facebook and Twitter becoming like a police and removing people freedoms! Many competitors for Facebook are cropping up! Freedom and non biased is more important! It is up to you!

Affinity Publisher 2021*

*with a grain of salt
To make other professionals move to new tools I feel one or more great professional as to take a new tool and make it to the top customer satisfaction rather than market share alone!, thereby forcing others to move! Also make sure the new tool is developed in cooperation with software developers all over the world! Cooperation is needed since the tools as to satisfy all customers and you need to use all available talents! Competition is the thing that makes people suffer satisfying few! As time goes software vendors as to move some features to free and not keep it paid always, so that those with no much money also can use! We don't need so many tools for achieving one thing! One tool is enough! Adobe is not fit for it! I'm a software developer!

Anyone still waiting for full Photoshop on IOS? Well then I have an app for you: Adobe 'sort of' Illustrator.
I am an Affinity Designer fan, but there is no way to use this app for complex projects without keyboard
shortcuts. The ipad is awesome, but gesture based drawing tools are very limited. Looking at you Procreate!

Almost. I recently found out, that automatically creating color palettes from an image can’t be done on the iPad version of Designer.
Affinity must not race with or worry about Adobe and have major issues! I hope you deliver it in quality way with high customer satisfaction! Nowadays people use it in all devices great!

Affinity has complete feature parity between iPad and desktop. And, while desktop Affinity might not have complete feature parity with Illustrator yet, it's catching up and already ahead in many areas.
In Affinity ios, no keyboard cmd to multi-select in the layers editor. This is insane if your working on complex
projects. Affinity creates a 'layer' entry for every object and line! I use both the pc and ios Designer versions.

Why don't Affinity+vectornator+ etc., get together and develop one tool with cooperation? No cooperation then adobe will dominate and difficult to catch!

It's ok, but for vector graphics, there are a half dozen better apps, designed from the ground up as a touch/pencil vector design program. Affinity Designer comes to mind as a leader in iPad vector tools.
Unless you're a beta tester, how do you know they're better when you haven't tried it yet?

I love Vectornator for software development! It is free and human friendly! Apple and Disney are using it! I feel this tool going to rule them all! They give it free so customers are developing! The free and later paid is a great model, to get full satisfaction and then sell it! Adobe you are losing! Apple may get support from you to promote their iPad, but they are simultaneously putting time bomb on your ass! It is a similar model Apple is following like it did with Intel! Intel monopoly is gone!

Oh, OK, I stand corrected. I don’t use my iPad with a keyboard. It‘s very close though, and file compatibility is complete.

The file opens the same in both pc/mac and ios version. I am interested in trying to introduce Afinity Photo into the mix because of the potential of imported photoshop brushes in AP

Does this do automatic draw mirroring? Illustrator on computer requires the Astute Graphics MirrorMe to do this.

Seems like a good app for people locked into the Adobe ecosystem or for those required to use Adobe tools. For anyone else I just have two words: Affinity Designer

One time payment, No account required, fantastic UI, great updates and full compatibility with the desktop Mac version so you can easily pass files back and forth...

👍🏻

Indesign please.. As far as I'm aware there still isn't a single decent publishing app for the iPad...

Interesting. How would you do desktop publishing without a real (physical) keyboard and mouse?
Or do you mean to use a combination of iPad + keyboard/mouse/trackpad?

I already switched to Affinity Designer - it suffices my needs, was available on iPad a long time ago and doesn't lock you into a cloud subscription. Not looking back at Adobe.

Wondering what functions Illustrator has that Affinity Designer is missing (serious question).

For some software, the Mac version is better and more feature-rich. For Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo, is it better to get the Mac or iPad version?
