Adobe flash pencil tool fill question.

Im pretty new to flash, with very limited experience. Here is my predicament:
Im using the pencil tool to try and draw a face. When I draw the hair, I close the "gaps" with a different color. But when I try and fill the hair in with a different color it doesn't let me. There is no gaps or holes, but I can't fill it for some reason. Can someone help me please?

Is everything on the same layer?

Never mind, i figured it out. Yes, they were on the same layer. But I selected the parts where the lines were connected, then right- clicked and selected break apart. Then I was able to fill them in.

Ah yes, that's a "feature" they added with CS2 or CS3 I believe. The first thing I did after upgrading was turn it off.
