Why is my Adobe flash player always out of date? Seems I have to download a new version every other week, why is this?

There is no way to predict when updates will occur, whether to Flash or any software.

    Because it's Adobe being Adobe.

Quit using Flash. It's a security risk and a resource hog. If you need Flash, just use Chrome for Flash sites.

I hate Chrome with a white-hot hatred too, but I've to use it for Flash sites since I don't have Flash installed for security.

At least if you use Safari as your primary browser, Flash stuff wouldn't activate all by itself.

Same, I don't have Flash installed in Safari either, although my reasoning has more to do with forcing sites to use HTML5. Flash is such a resource hog that it should go together with Chrome anyway, it just helps even further that they bundle it in with Chrome.
