Sorry guys, I'm new to the forum and did not know where to post this malware question. I'm a little paranoid from past experiences and was wondering if I could get malware from Adobe Flashplayer if I downloaded it on the official Adobe.com site. I recentl reinstalled my system and am a little paranoid. Also, after I zeroed out my disks in the reinstall, there was about .4 gigabytes taken up in the reinstall screen. Is that supposed to be taken up?

Thank you for your time

If you are downloading from Adobe's site I would say your risk of bringing anything unwanted into your system is extremely minimal

Of course, some would classify Flash as malware... but I digress

No. Certainly not now at least, so don't pay it any mind. Also that space is probably taken up by the formatting and by certain things such as the hfs+ journal and the like. But don't ask how to disable or remove it, because you need it. Extra hard drives are cheap enough to not worry about such things.
