@$$!!!

Using MacOS X for 14 months - 0 critical errors
Using Adobe Flash 10.1 Beta 2 for 5 days - My first kernel panic...

What a bunch of marglar! I just had my text issue (as aforementioned) cured up by some extraordinary c*** stroke of luck, and then? Oh, that's right, install beta 2 and break all that shyet all over again!

Dammit Adobe! You can't cover your butt with Photoshop bucks forever! Get it together, N000000000000000o00bz!

So, anyone else have the Flash text-field issue? Oh, and I do notice that Grooveshark loads faster but Youtube...oh good god. Try scrubbing or time-selecting a video, an HD video none-the-less! Beach-ball....beach-ball..bea OOOPS, Safari quitted :(

I would rather PAY for a replacement product so that at the very least I could come down on the responsible party with the all mighty class action fist of justice! Look at how efficient Quicktime is! Beautiful video and sound quality with LESS resources, find a way to trash Flash and open with Quicktime and I'd...do something dramatic, I'm too tired to contrive something at the moment, I'll let you imagine that part.

yes i know... this beta is a bit faster, but still beta, lets hope they make something of it.

is there a link to a html5 video, or are any of them uploaded in the last few days html5?

hmm, i clicked on one and it said html5 load.. interesting.

Any recent video should be HTML5. It's not only in the past few days, but probably the past few months or maybe as much as a year.

For example, this video I uploaded a few weeks ago works in HTML5 (a Christmas light display timed to music).

Funny... when I view source for the video, it tells me it's Flash.

I'm not saying 10.1 is the holy savior of Flash, but the improvement is noticeable.

My PowerMac G4 would choke up on Youtube and Webkinz, after the 10.1 update all of the Webkinz games play acceptably and Youtube is fine in 360 or 480 so long as you let it load first.

Edit: What's this I hear about Adobe dropping PPC support? Are they going to drop it in a release of 10.x or the next full version number?

Did you opt-in to the HTML5 beta using the link above? Are you using Safari 4 or another compatible browser? It will say HTML5 as the video loads, and if you right-click, the Flash menu doesn't come up.

seems like auto play is disabled with html5, as in you need to click play, but aside from that, it runs just as well and the fan on my whitebook doesn't turn on every time i browse around youtube.

Wait, so I can uninstall Flash and put something on my PowerMac G4 that will take its place?

Where and how?!
