That's the first time I've heard someone complain about the lack of a workflow breaking feature. Are you a Windows user?

Then you aren't paying attention. The support board and forums are filled with people who absolutely hate floating window designs for apps. It's a very distracting and cluttered way of looking at a palate-based app. I can see my desktop icons, or my other open apps behind my work? It's extremely distracting.

How does that break my workflow? And no, I'm not a Windows user.

That's what's great about it.

Explain.

And I'm sure some people do like it, I'd just like to see the option to turn on/off the application frame like you can do in Adobe applications.

I don't like frames because they're constricting. Multimonitor usage is better with no frames as I can have my free floating palettes, layer window etc. on a different monitor.

An option would be the best solution of course.

And that's wonderful if you're spending long periods of time with a single app. I'm constantly jumping back and forth between several. I have both monitors in constant use for multiple tasks. The frames keep things organized for me.

I have yet to find a workflow where having the doc or image obscured, buried underneath a pile of floating tool palettes is anything but a cluttered annoying and inefficient waste of time.

The palettes are still anchored to the sides and to each other. I interact with the Finder all the time while in Photoshop. It's why drag and drop was invented.

It reminds me of when Apple stole millions and millions of dollars from users by banning the IPhoto app with IOS8, an app people paid for.

Apparently the successor. Kind of a different direction than Apple

I don't see the point of this. They've pulled Photoshop Touch and I guess the reason is that people don't want to do intense edits on their phone/tablet. Other than in emergencies I don't see why anyone would want to do full fledged edits on a tablet with a 10" screen, only finger pointing and doesn't have access to the file system.

Give us a simple tool to access our images either from our phone, camera or desktop - allow us to sort through them. I can see people wanting to sort images from a shoot in lightroom from the comfort of a couch with a client. Do basic adjustments, simple fixes, grading and export to social media. Everything else is going to happen. There's a reason why VSCO is so popular...

IMHO anyone who wants to do serious editing on something with a tablet form factor should get a Surface Pro...

Pixelmator is $4.99 right now. Down from $9.99.

Did it ever go on sale for lower than $4.99?

In the Mac App Store, it is $29.99. I don't see it in the iOS app store.

Where are you seeing it at this price? Please provide a link.

Can't waiting for the new tools from Adobe Retouching.... I was using that just right before I switch my iPad Air from 1st generation to the 2nd yesterday...already bought pixelmator but I'm not familiar with this...is there anywhere to download back the old Adobe Touch on my iPad Air 2 ios8.3 ?

They also removed the app from our purchases. Not happy about that :(
If you didn't have a back up on a computer you can no longer get Photoshop Touch at all.

The new apps are out today and I'm not impressed and I do not like having to go from app to app. I should clarify if there was less carry over it wouldn't be as bad but at the same time none of these apps were as useful TO ME as photoshop Touch was.
