Since upgrading to Venture PB1 I have had issues printing from Adobe Acrobat...

I have a Mac Pro I am checking this against, and:

Identical setting in Printer setup.
Identical printer driver from Canon.
Adobe Creative Suite is up-to-date on both my Mac Pro (Monterey 12.5) and my Mac Studio (Ventura PB1).
On the Mac Pro I can easily print PDFs - on the Mac Studio I get the error that the print job is "Stopped - Unable to convert PostScript file".

Is this a Ventura issue, an Adobe issue, or a Canon issue?

Printing the same PDF from Preview works fine.

I have the same issue with Acrobat on PB1 of Ventura, haven't found a solution other than printing from Preview instead of Acrobat.

I am printing as image, and that of course works.

Hoping it is a Ventura issue that will be fixed next iteration…

This happens to me every year with every macOS major update. I will be fixed shortly before the launch.

And in the meanwhile, we can set it to print image, i.e. not use postscript.

I own Acrobat Pro 2020 and am also having trouble printing. It prints distorted and/or wont print the whole range. Preview or PDF expert will print fine.

Note: in the past I used Acrobat Pro and switched to PDF Expert now back to Acrobat Pro. I switched to PDF Expert for price reasons. I had trouble printing PostScript files with PDF Expert and Preview, and Readdle was not able to help. Adobe Reader would print them just fine. Readdle told me that Adobe used its own printing; scheme, and that Preview and PDF Expert shared the same printing scheme.

Nah, that's not what Adobe told me... Adobe Reader and Pro both use the Postscript engine, and when Apple screws with it, you have to change to Graphics Image printing, until it is fixed. It won't be until the final Ventura is released.

Updated Acrobat Pro to V2020.005.30381 this morning. Problem still persists in B5.

I have a pdf (an Amtrak eticket) that will not print on my Canon printer, no matter what app I use (I generally use PDF Expert). Strangely enough, most other pdf's print fine. The Amtrak pdf prints without problems on Monterey.

I can confirm the Postscript issue has been solved in Beta 6. Go Apple...

Ran into a new printing issue with Acrobat. Tried printing a legal size document on letter paper with the "fit" box checked. Acrobat printed the document distorted and did not fill all the text on the page. PDF Expert had no issue printing the document correctly.

I for one love Adobe products - I used to be an Aperture user, but switching to LightRoom and Photoshop was one of the best decisions I ever made. As a photographer the choice is simple, I look for functionality and ease of use - Adobe Creative Suite has that. The postscript printing issues were introduced by Apple, and when they fixed it two betas ago, it worked again.

Printing issue still not fixed in RC and Adobe lists my SW is up to date.👎

I think this is a specific problem In your setup. It works fine for me.

^^^^You have constantly tried to portray that - but NOT true. As explained earlier Acrobat prints fine except when printing an oversized page. When the "Fit" or "Shrink Oversized Pages" option is chosen the dialog box shows the page properly, but the result from the printer is distorted and printed improperly. Both PDF Expert and Preview have no issue. This is the dialog box from Acrobat:

Dude... I have just done it... I don't know how to prove it to you (and I am not making a video).

My setup is Mac Studio, running Ventura version 13.0 (22A379). My printer is a Canon MX920. I am using the most updated version of Adobe Creative Suite (updated today), and Adobe Acrobat Reader is version 2022.003.20258.

I have a PDF that was created using A4, it is oversized, and I can print in any way you wish...

1) Printing with "Fit" - prints perfectly
2) Printing with "Actual Size" - fills out the page, outside the normal margins, and to the edge.
3) Printing with "Shrink oversized pages" - prints perfectly
4) Printing with "Custom Scale" set to 50% - prints perfectly

I CANNOT get it to print distorted or improperly in ANY way.

Unless you send me a PDF that does not work for you, I can't even pretend to replicate your unique situation.

^^^^I'm on a 2019 NcMP. Acrobat Pro 2020 V2020.005.30407. Printer is an HP LaserJet Pro M401dne.

Like I said; this is a problem in your setup, update your Adobe apps, and see what happens.
