I have gotten notice of an update to Adobe Reader and tried to install and it has failed each time. Either with get rid of your current Adobe or a Mac problem. Anyone have this and the answer to get it installed?

Why do you use Adobe Reader? Preview has PDF functions built in, and is more than sufficent for most users.

I've had issues similar to these on Windows with teh Adobe Installer, it has been rubbish since they went Air based and download from the installer instead of the old way of downloading the whole package in a web browser. Have you tried clearing the preference files in ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe for Adobe Reader? (presuming you don't have any other Adobe Software).

If you must use Adobe Reader, you can always delete the one you have and download a new copy from Adobe.
