"adoberesouresynchronizer"...Do I need it at startup?

I've noticed that my start times are lagging and when I restart (which I've done only once lately but still...) Mail opens up instead of staying hidden. I went to System Prefs and opened the Accounts setting. I checked "hide" for Mail and realized I had something in there called "adboderesourcesynchronizer". Since I use Preview for all of my PDFs and everything else, I'm wondering if I even need this on here, and what the heck it is to begin with.

Any suggestions?
