you usally get what you want in life...
it seems dogs medium and small sized are in high demand with the work at home pandemic. I made several mad dashes to animal shelters to find the listed dog already taken. All good. I finally found sweet companion at a shelter about 20 miles north on saturday. He is a Dachshund but i assume likely a mix. He sat in my lap while driving home, well maybe the first ⅓ of him as he has a long body, short 3" legs and ears almost to the ground. Very odd shaped.

initially he ran around the house like a b b in a shoe box. Showing signs of confidance this Sunday morning...

Good luck with your new pooch. Remember this is a life long commitment. There will be expense and growing pains. It's just like having a child. You are in it for the long haul.

I short time ago a friend who works at a shelter contacted me about picking up a 4 y/o German Shepard from a lady who is suffering from a debilitating, life-threaten illness, and bringing it to the shelter. Stopped by my home to see what Millie, my cat, thought of him; I had been looking for a dog, but none had met Millie's standards. She took right to Mork. I lost the directions to the shelter somehow, go figure! Unfortunately, Millie passed away in her sleep last week, having Mork has helped with her loss.

I once knew a guy from College and his wife adopted a golden/jab mix that was increabke to them and I Ed any white or Black person but when it can with oriental people he would become mean and scared! Made him wonder about his previous life!

the Dachshund, a small sized dog, is built like a tank. It weighs in at 33lbs.
