Ads in Threads Expand to More Users

Disappointing. Not sure how ads will enhance the overall experience. Will not be long before the ads expand to all the countries.

Do they really think that at this point in time, making laughable statements like that is somehow better than simply acknowledging that the platform has to generate revenue, so there's going to be advertisements? It's not like we all don't already know that's the case, why gaslight about it?

Because the soulless gobsh**** that work for them, actually believe it. They probably attend mandatory quarterly workshops to drum this sort of stuff into them.

They make their money from advertising, so what do people expect. Don't like it, don't use the product. I have Facbook messenger on my phone and that is it and that is only because of a couple of people
Faceache itself I look at now and again on my computer, I have no interested in X, threads, Bluesky or any other social media app or service.

Are people really looking to "deepen connections with businesses they love"? Also, is anyone still using Threads? BlueSky seems so much better -- it's like Twitter used to be back in the day.
