Advanced Data Protection Failure

Since this is now supported in Germany too, I wanted to install it immediately. Per se, its rather straight forward and not complicated - but after installing the recovery entires I got a notice, before finishing I got the error message "You have to actualize an old item or log out from it!". It is a long abandoned WIN-xxx iCloud probably former iCloud installation in a Fusion virtual machine. If I try to log out or delete that, I get another error message saying "This machine is no longer linked to my account.". But it stays there and can not be getting rid of. So I am out of options. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the reply - this thread concerns problems of ADP in relation to the App Store Log-in. My problem concerns activation of ADP at all trough a volume no longer exists but is listed in iCloud and can not be deleted.
