an ice patch caused my bike to crash, with me on it... and my 16"mbp in the backpack... so, it got a few dents on the back, where the hinge is, nothing to dramatically, but I had it checked at an authorized repair shop, got a quote for the repair to my insurance company. But the repair shop wanted to run a diagnostic program to be sure there were no hardware issues. I didn't have time to wait 3+ hours at the time though, so I just went with the cosmetic diagnosis...

Recently I noticed that the computer won't connect to both my thunderbolt displays, it connects fine with one, but when I plug the other one in there's no image on either one anymore... so I ran apples diagnostic, the one you get when pressing D during startup. it found no hardware issues. it only took about 5 minutes though, so I'd like to run some more advanced diagnostic... is there such a program out there? or do I need to wait 3+ hours at the repair shop for them to run it?
I have 100km to the nearest authorized repair shop so I'd rather just run the diagnostic myself, at home...

Even if you had the diagnostic tools, you'll still need to bring it to an authorized dealer, so I'd just bite the bullet.
