I was wondering if anyone happened to know of a freeware or shareware program that adds advanced power management options to my MacBook.

I would like a program that would allow me to set more precisely how much I want the screen to dim when using the battery, as well as turn on and off bluetooth based on whether the adapter is attached or not.

Does anyone know of a program like this? Thanks for your help.

I'm looking for the same thing for my MacBook Pro. Specifically, I wonder if there's a way to conserve power by using only one core when running off the battery.

Doesn't exist. You can turn the auto-dim off and simply adjust it yourself though.

What adapter? Bluetooth is internal? Do you mean if its paired or not? How can bluetooth pair if bluetooth is off?

The power adapter. Duh. Can't you read my mind? :) Haha. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm adjusting the screen brightness manually right now, but I'm looking for ways to become even lazier!
