How can I search for certain fields in the Address Book, such as name, company, etc.?

Spotlight, and you don't have to open Address Book.

But I can't specify which field I want to search; I want to restrict my search to only a particular field(s).

It's not a great workaround, but I guess you could make a Smart Group. 🙂
