Currently, I am a student paying more than I am getting for my website. In fact, I'm getting zilch... yet I pay a monthly fee to keep my site running.

So how do I get this money back? Advertisements of course...

Now, a natural suggestion would be "Adsense" but the thing is, I've tried adsense and it doesn't work for me. People click them and I don't see a single buck for keeping these blasted ads on my website.

So how can I get money? Does anyone know of any ad agencies who can give me banner ads to put on my website? Now, I hate ads as much as the next guy but if they help keep the site running (and even gets me a little bit on the side to fun my projects) then I'm happy to do it.

Which is why I'm asking you guys, people who are likely to know (I'd rather ask than spend hours upon hours searching to no avail). Which ad company should I go to get ads that:

Pay per view, not per click
    offer banner ads
    are trustworthy and honest
are going to provide a simple solution for installing the ads.

    All help appreciated.

First, ad networks will probably need info like: how many impressions/month can you offer? how many page views? how many uniques? what countries are your users in? do you have a privacy policy on your site (a lot of networks require them)?

    What is your site?

Not all of these may be appropriate for your site, but it's a starting place for research:

    Accelerator (UK-based)
    AdBrite
    AdDynamix
    AdEngage
    Adify
    Adknowlege
    AdJug
    AdOn
    AdPepper
    Adsdaq
    AdSmart
    Adtegrity
    Advertising.com
    ADX Direct
    Blue Lithium
    Burst Media
    Casale Media
    CPX Interactive
    DGM
    Directa Networks
    Direct Media
    Exit Exchange
    Google Adsense
    NetShelter
    Oridian
    Quigo
    RealTech Network
    Revenue.net
    Rydium
    Specific Media
    SportGenic
    TradeDoubler
    TraffiIQ
    Traffic Marketplace
    Tribal Fusion
    UnderTone
    ValueAd
    Value Click
    Vizi Direct
    Yes Advertising

Temper your expectations. Sometimes even premium sites don't get more than 20¢ CPM.

    Superb advice.

I just wanna add that after you do all that and determine your ad network, the next thing to do is make sure you look into SEO, which means:

You can't make money if they can't FIND you!!!!

Here's an easy to follow tutorial as to how:
