Hey guys,

After reading the many posts on "people going to law (congrats), and what computer they will need" I thought I would ask this question:

Im going into a BCOM, double majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law, here in New Zealand. I have just finished my medical degree (6 years) and found out the medicine isnt for me, so im not specialising 😱 So ive decided to go down the Management side of the health industry instead. And I was wondering, which system would be better for my needs; a macbook or a MBP.

I was always looking at a macbook but with the SR chip etc, i am now leaning towards the MBP. Which should I go for considering I will be using a lot of accounting/financial/tax/law softwares?

Thanks Heaps

The 15 inch screen will help a lot when doing spreadsheets. I am currently doing a commerce degree and using a Macbook. More computer than you will ever need. Just the screen is to small to do large spreadsheets.

If you would consider a Macbook with an second monitor it would work well. The Macbook plus a 20 inch screen would be ideal. Plus it would also be cheaper than a MBP.

What I want to know are the SR MBP capable of landscape and portrait mode for a second monitor? Any ideas?
