So here's what I came up with:

We currently pay $134.32/mo. My brother & his wife pay the same.
$134.32(2) x 12 = $3223.68
$199.99(2) x 2 = $799.96
First year ($4023.64) + Second year ($3223.68) = $7247.32

New plan:
$254.18 x 12 = $3050.16
First year ($3050.16) + Second year ($3050.16) = $6100.32
2 free upgrades after 12 mo, 2 free upgrade after 18 mo.

Did I run these numbers correct? Looks like new plan is actually better.

This just doesn't make sense. They advertise $100 for 10GB of data, unlimited talk, and unlimited text. However, after you select your phone they charge another $30 per month for data???? (that's not including the $25/mo per phone charge)

What? How? Why? I don't understand.

edit: I see. The 2.5GB they're advertising is how much LTE you get, then it slows down after you use 2.5gb. So basically it's $100/mo for talk/text. Then you pay $10/mo x4 for 3GB of data. Then you pay $25/mo x4 for devices. I wonder how much people have been screwed by this type of deal.

Yep you're adding extra data that isn't advertised. Unfortunately with T-Mobile, that 2.5gb really is for each line so people buy more data and then don't get the advertised price.

Yep I got $254.18 for Next and $260 for contract. Not sure what that ends up being over two years though. Next is a bit confusing.

The only thing that I see that might be different is if the amount of your current plan includes tax, the amount of your new plan doesn't, but hopefully you're not in a state where the tax rate would be that big of a difference! :)
