I received my red Apple Watch 6 with red braided solo loop. Prior ordering the watch, I went to an Apple store and they sized my wrist, I was a 12. I asked them to let me try the 44mm watch with the charcoal braided loop and it fitted perfectly, the watch would be snug and would not move, yet very comfortable to wear.

The red braided solo loop I received today is really big, compared to the charcoal one I tried in the store. I can swirl the watch on my wrist easy, is that lose. I called Apple and explained the situation, while requesting a replacement and if possible to send me both size 11 and 12, to avoid a possible defect. The rep told me I have to ship them first the band and they will ship a replacement at the time.

In other words, I will not be able to use the watch while they do the swap. This is just plain ridiculous. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they told me there is an 11 days backlog, due to COVID. The stores near me do not have the red band in stock.

What do you recommend me to do? I'm wondering how other people got their braided loop exchanged easy with different sizes before, without any hassle? Did anyone exchanged their braided loop last week, what was your experience?

Just an update: I went to an Apple store, waited for two hours and exchanged the bracelet for a size 11, it fitted perfectly. I think the person who had me try the watch, used also an 11 size, thinking it is a 12.

Good thing you were able to get it replaced without having to wait. I had a few mishaps with having to return the wrong size to the Apple store, due to the reps giving me the wrong size at checkout.

In the future, I have found it wise to purchase a backup band. That way if something happens to your favorite, you can still wear your watch.

Thank you for letting me know, I was really disappointed. Luckily, one store near me had size 11 in stock, the others were out. I'm going to buy one cheap bracelet, but honestly, we should not be forced to do this. Apple should send a replacement product first and if the defective product is not returned, to charge me, like any other company does.
