advice on buying an Ipad

    I have seen some refurbed ipads with wi-fi and 3g running ios4 at £279,if i buy one of these and download lion will it nearly the same spec as an Ipad2 if not what is missing i would like to have icloud.

    IOS is a software that only runs on iPhones, iPads, iPod touches.
    OSX Lion is a software that only runs on Mac's.
    You can upgrade for free to IOS5 on the first iPad and get iCloud.
    Specs are hardware so you will not get the same specs by putting IOS5 on.

    The iPad and iPad 2 contains different hardware internals? So the iPad would never be as powerful as the iPad 2 regardless of the software, and lion is desktop software as stated above.

    As someone already mentioned, Lion is for OSX (MBA, MBP, iMAC, Mac Mini).

    You can get iOS5 on the iPad and you can have icloud.
