One of my first gen AirPods only gives me about 15-20 minutes of play time before it needs to be recharged. I'm familiar with the option to purchase a replacement from Apple, or have the battery replaced, but if I"m going to spend that much, I think I'd rather put that money towards a whole new set of AirPods / AirPods Pro when the next gen gets released.

In the meantime, I was hoping to inexpensively purchase a replacement single AirPod and am wondering if any of you in the forum have experience purchasing a single AirPod from a seller on eBay. I'm familiar with the fact that these devices are commonly counterfeited but It's also entirely plausible that genuine single AirPods would be for sale on eBay. There are many items on there that claim to be genuine, but obviously, you never know for sure.

If any of you have replaced a single AirPod through eBay, I'd love to hear what your experience has been and if there are any specific sellers to go to or avoid. Thanks in advance!

I would avoid it. Even if it was real, one side will die quicker than the other and it's super annoying. Just buy new pair.
