Advice on computers - DP 450 vs. QS 733

Hey all,

Just got a line on a cheap quicksilver, 733 processor.

Only thing is I have a DP 450 gigabit. So realworld, which one is faster?

I assume they take the same ram, HD and videocards, so the difference between them is minimal as I could swap everything out.

Dual processor will beat a slight increase in mhz speed on a single processor every time.

Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver)
PowerPC G4 @ 733 MHz

Seems the QS has a faster bus, 133 vs. 100 for the Gigabit.

Also get 4 PCI in the QS rather then 3 in Gigabit.

Having owned both machines at various times, the QS will feel faster but will bog down more quickly if running multiple applications.

Ultimately, it depends what you want to use it for, but for average use, the QS should have the edge.
