I bought my imac with 250gb hard drive thinking that would be more than enough! However, having dabbled in DV work a little and storing eyetv recordings, it is proving to be less than adequate. Coupled with the need to back up my photos & music etc - what would people reccomend for an external hard drive which i would use both for backup and to store WIP video/tv programs.

    I was looking at this.....

Unless you really like the style of the Porsche drives and want the portability (i.e. lack of a power brick, I think), I'd go for one of the d2 drives. Mine's great - quiet, fast and reliable.

make your own Raid 0 enclosure. It will be really fast and also LOADS of HD space.
