advice on ibook 14" vs powerbook 12"

I didn't know this about the IB not displaying external monitors?! Can the IB display just a plain ole 17" lcd? So none of the Apple displays work with this unit? This would be a deal killer on the IB for me.

Thats true, but the app that has already been linked gets round that problem - it works great, I use it all the time to run an extended desktop.

Wow, check back and i get all this! Thanks very much all of you. It would appear that the general consensus is the 12" powerbook. Which I must admit I think im erring towards. 15" would be ideal but I just cant justify that when I have another machine. Maybe when my desktop conks out .

There where couple of things mentioned that im curios about;

1. The battery life difference. Are there any benchmarks around for me to look at.

2. You also mention the tests or comparisons/reviews done here at macrumours can you point in the way of them?
